A tablet app for the JLR field team

Agency: Blueprint
Disciplines: UX/UI Design
Role: Lead UX/UI Designer

Jaguar Land Rover required a tablet app for their field team to use when visiting dealer showrooms. It's intention was to guide them through a retailer visit allowing them to identify areas that met brand requirements and areas for improvement. They can assess individual KPI's, create appointment agendas to discuss recommendations and access a knowledge sytem for brand references and guidelines.

I was involved from the initial idiation phase through to UX and final UI designs. This involved determining user requirements, creating user flows, wireframing and designing a prototype with the UI designs.

01

The challenge

Jaguar Land Rover wanted to maintain the same level of customer experience accross the different dealerships around the UK. They required an app to guide the internal teams through the process.

02

Project goals

The app needed to simplify the process of assessing dealerships and help keep track of their KPI's. This would allow the different types of users to take action to improve the overall customer experience and maintain consisitant brand interactions.

03

The approach

The current processes and functional requirements were initially mapped out following user research. The initial UX work was then explored through journey maps and paper prototypes before refining them into a digital prototype for user testing.

Retailer visits

Once a retailer agenda has been setup, it is used to guide the user through the topics for a retailer visit. Each agenda item can have actions assigned to them to show the retailer where improvements can be made.

Wireframes, user flows and prototype

Once the initial user journeys and wirefames had been sketched out, a clickable wireframe prototype was created and user flows were mapped out. This allowed for the app's interactions and flows to be tested and refined based on the outcomes.
